- Partner: A partner organization is an organization that has been authorized by the sponsor to collaborate in the sponsor’s secure enclave. The role given to a partner user is determined by the user’s authentication source.
- Guest: External partner users that authenticate via Azure B2B are invited to teams as guests. This is the standard Microsoft guest role.
- Member: External partner users that authenticate using an Exostar-managed identity are invited to teams as members. This is the standard Microsoft member role.
