Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365 Export Messages

Messages are exported to the team’s General channel in a folder called Exported Emails.
All team members can access and view the exported messages and attachments.

Manually Export Messages

To export a message:

1. Open the message in the File Drop Inbox.

2. Click Export to Team.

AFTER EXPORT:

  • A new folder is created in the Exported Emails folder.
  • The message and attachments are converted to a PDF and saved to the folder.
  • A confirmation message displays. Click the link to view the export.

Automatically Export Messages

To streamline the export workflow, the File Drop Inbox can be configured to automatically export messages to the team. Team members will have expedited access to messages and attachments in the Exported Emails folder. Automatic export is disabled by default and must be enabled individually for each team.

To enable Automatic Export:

  1. Open the Exostar Managed Microsoft 365 Teams app, go to Manage Teams. Select the team from the drop down.
  2. Set Team File Drop to Enabled.
  3. Check Automatically export to Team.
  4. Click Save.

NOTE: Team Managers will continue to receive email notifications when new messages arrive with Automatic Export enabled.
