Version 6.2 Available

Posted May 20, 2025

File Drop Enablement Issue Update: On May 12, 2025, we became aware of an issue where enabling the File Drop feature would fail to update mailbox configuration yet incorrectly appear as successful. We’ve partially resolved this issue in version 6.2 and the feature can now be reliably enabled for new teams. For existing teams, if mailbox configuration fails, users will now see an error message and the feature will not be marked as enabled. We are continuing to work with Microsoft to fully resolve the issue and support successful mailbox configuration and feature enablement for existing teams. In the event you are unable to enable team file drop, please contact Customer Support to have the proper configuration applied.

Urgent Service Update (Outlook Web Access)

Posted May 6, 2024

Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365 service currently does not include Microsoft Office OWA (Outlook Web App) for email and calendar functionality. As a result, access to this service is being disabled.

We understand from customer feedback that this feature is highly valued, and we are actively working to reinstate it in a compliant and secure manner.

In the meantime, we will be reaching out directly to customers who have made significant use of this capability. Please reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager with any questions or concerns.

CrowdStrike production outages at Exostar

Posted July 19, 2024

  • Here at Exostar, we take security and compliance incredibly seriously. CrowdStrike provides deep analysis capabilities to secure against malicious attacks before zero-day announcements.  Like other organizations, our products are secured by CrowdStrike.  As such Managed Access Gateway was down on July 19th all day.
  • Exostar personnel worked diligently over the weekend and although Managed Microsoft 365 tenants were not affected directly and Azure B2B users were able to login, once Microsoft fixed their side. MAG users were able to access Managed Microsoft 365 from Monday morning, July 22nd.
  • We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Managed Microsoft 365 Free Trial Available

  • As we ramp up to the CMMC 2.0 legislation becoming law later this year, Exostar has released a Free Trial of the Managed Microsoft 365 service.
  • For 30 days, you get 5 users with MFA tokens, 1GB storage and full functionality, including our Compliant File Drop feature.
  • If your partners decide they like the product, they can purchase the solution and continue with the environment they have set up over the last 30 days.
