Step 1. Register for MAG Account
In order to access the Information Manager, you must receive an email invitation from your partner. Locate that email to begin the account registration process.
2. Your browser displays a Get started with Exostar dialogue box. Click the Get Started button.
3. On the Complete the following information page, review the data for accuracy and input any missing fields. Select your Organization Headquarters Location from the country drop-down menu. Click Next.
A confirmation message will display your account registration details, along with further instructions sent via email for account activation.
Step 2. Activate User Account
Once Exostar approves your organization registration, you receive an account activation email. Please review all information provided in the email, paying special attention to your Account Details and User ID.
IMPORTANT: Since you received and accepted the invitation, you are automatically designated as the Organization Administrator for your company. For more information on your administrative responsibilities, please see the MAG Organization Administrator page.

2. Click the Let’s Get Started button.
NOTE: The security questions option is no longer applicable or required.
3. Enter and re-enter a Password meeting the criteria listed on the screen. Click Next.
4. A confirmation message will display Your account is now active. Click Continue to open the MAG Dashboard.
If you are not an Organization Administrator, please skip Step 3. Accept Terms and Conditions and move on to Step 4. Purchase Phone OTP without Proofing Credential.
Step 3. Agree to Terms and Conditions
Once you successfully activate your MAG account, you must accept the Information Manager Terms and Conditions. To accept, you must have the Organization Administrator or Information Manager Application Administrator role. Access to Information Manager is not possible for any users in your organization until Terms and Conditions are accepted.
2. Locate the Information Manager tile under My Applications on the MAG Dashboard. Click the Agree to Terms button.
3. Review the Terms of Service documents. Check the box for I’ve read and agree to this terms and conditions. Click the Accept and Continue button to accept terms and conditions and navigate back to the dashboard.
Step 4. Purchase Phone OTP without Proofing Credential
Now that you have successfully set-up your MAG organization and user account, you must purchase a Phone One Time Password (OTP) without Proofing credential from Exostar’s Web Store.
2. Click the Get 2FA button from the My 2FA Credentials section on the MAG Dashboard.
3. Select HII from the Partner drop-down menu to display a list of acceptable credentials.
4. Select the SMS OTP (No Proofing) option. Click Next.
NOTE: This is the Phone-based OTP option.
5. Review and input any missing information in the Primary Information, Billing Address, and Shipping Address sections. Click Next.
6. Select your Payment Method (credit or invoice). Input payment details, if paying by credit. Click Submit.
NOTE: If you pay by invoice, you must make full payment prior to receiving the hardware token.
A confirmation screen displays and you receive a confirmation email, containing the license key required for the activation process. You can activate directly from the confirmation screen, or later via your MAG user account and the My 2FA Credentials section.
Step 5. Activate and Register Phone OTP
You must activate your Phone OTP token using the license key received via email or at the end of the purchase process. After entering the license key, you will be prompted to register your phone. Exostar recommends you register at least two phones, but you can register up to three.
2. Enter your license key. Click Next.
3. The MAG Service Agreement displays ONLY if you have not already accepted. Review the terms. Click Agree and Continue.
4. Click the Activate button on the Phone-based One-Time Password tile.
5. Enter and re-enter your mobile phone number. Select the desired radio button: Send text or Send voice. Click Next.
6. You will receive a verification code to your mobile phone. Enter the verification code in the field provided. Click Next.
NOTE: You will receive a confirmation pop-up that your mobile number has been added for phone-based one-time password (2FA).
7. Click Finish to navigate back to the MAG Dashboard.
Step 6. Access Information Manager
Once you successfully set-up your Phone OTP credential, you can now login using your credential to access the Information Manager application.
2. Locate the Information Manager tile in the Applications section on your MAG Dashboard. Select the Launch button.
3. Select the phone number to which you want use to receive the OTP code. Choose the delivery method. Click Send to have the code sent to your phone.
4. You will receive the OTP code on your phone. Enter the code in the OTP code field. Click Next to open the application.
NOTE: Once you receive the code, it will be valid for the next two minutes. If the code expires, click Resend verification code.
