What is the SAP Ariba Business Network?

SAP Ariba is a cloud-based supply chain collaboration tool that allows buyers and suppliers to transact with each other for various purchase order activities. 
SAP Ariba is one part of the new portfolio of 1LMX Supply Chain tools enabling LMCO’s journey to standardize procurement processes across the Enterprise as LMCO moves toward operating as one supply chain. Over time, SAP Ariba will serve as the single supplier portal for all Lockheed Martin purchase order collaboration activities. 

External Integration Hub (EIH)

SAP Ariba will come online alongside existing supplier portals and will be incorporated into Lockheed Martin’s External Integration Hub (EIH). EIH will improve LMCO supplier’s efficiency and effectiveness by providing a single point of entry into the diverse ecosystem of Lockheed Martin products and services. Suppliers can access training documentation from the EIH.

SAP Ariba FAQs

What impact will SAP Ariba have on current tools?
SAP Ariba will go live with Forecast Collaboration capabilities and view-only capabilities for Purchase Orders and Scheduling Agreements.

As suppliers are onboarded and begin to use SAP Ariba, forecasting capabilities will be disabled in their legacy portals, therefore suppliers will immediately start performing forecasting transactions within SAP Ariba.
 
As this will be an incremental change in how suppliers and buyers conduct business, current LM Business Area tools will not be retired or sunset throughout the early adoption phases of SAP Ariba.
